Victoria medallion collar finished!

Sometimes a project comes together quickly. Sometimes it does not.

Crocheting the collar itself was not even the biggest undertaking. Making the tutorial video took far more time. Filming, editing, adding text, creating the intro and outro, choosing pictures… all those small steps the viewer normally never sees.

But now both the collar and the tutorial video are finally finished. 💜

What I especially like about this collar is the pattern formed by the medallions. The result is romantic with a slightly old-fashioned air, a collar that can be worn over a dress, blouse or even a simple jumper.

I liked the pattern so much that I also made a wrist piece in the same style. Together they form a lovely set, though each can be worn separately too. Sometimes one small detail is enough to make a completely ordinary outfit feel a little more special. 🤍

While making the video I also created a new intro that will open my tutorial videos from now on. Small steps, but every finished project moves things forward.

You can find the tutorial video here:

Now that the video is finished and uploaded, I can finally put my feet up for a moment and simply look at the finished work.

Sometimes you just need to take yarn and a crochet hook and make something beautiful. 🧶

“Are you going to a ball in that collar now?” asked Bim.

“I don’t know,” Memm Maimu replied. “But it certainly makes any day a little more festive.”

Bim looked at the collar once more.

“Then I suppose it was worth the wait.” 🤍🐈
