When Cords Get Tangled, Something Beautiful Happens

Tiina’s macramé lampshade, tree of life, belt, and jewelry

Tangled cords do not always mean trouble. In my hands, they have turned into jewelry, belts, wall hangings, and lampshades. Here I have gathered a few videos of my macramé creations — some show the making, while others introduce the finished pieces.

Red Heart – A Macramé Jewelry Set ❤️

A little cord, a few beads, a good handful of knots, and plenty of patience. That’s how this macramé necklace and matching earrings came to life.

In the video, I show how simple cords gradually turn into a delicate, lace-like jewelry set, one knot at a time. No talking, just letting my fingers do the work. 😊

And a Few More Earrings! 😊

Once I started knotting, I couldn’t stop at just one jewelry set! Here are a few more pairs of macramé earrings I’ve made. A little colorful cord, some beads, and a bit of imagination, and I ended up with quite a colorful collection!

This time, the short video shows the finished creations.

Udu-Helmi – A Macramé Belt 🤎

Who says macramé is only for wall hangings? I decided to knot a belt instead!

Some cotton cord, a few beads, and once again, knot after knot. That’s how this light-colored belt came to life. The brown beads add a little charm, while the long fringe gives it a playful touch.

In the video, I show how the belt gradually takes shape between my fingers. No long explanations, just cords, knots, and busy hands. 😊

How I Make a Bracelet – Knots and Beads 📿

One evening, I picked up my cords and beads again and started making bracelets. What I love about macramé is how a pattern gradually emerges from a few simple knots.

In the video, I show how a bracelet made with black cord and light-colored beads takes shape between my fingers.

I no longer have these bracelets, but luckily, I captured the making process on video. Now these old creations can enjoy a new life on my blog. 😊

And that is how my cords become jewelry, belts, and sometimes decorations for the home. Not all these pieces are still with me, but the videos keep their stories alive. Which one is your favorite?

A word from Granny Maimu and Bim 🐾

Granny Maimu: “A little cord and patience, and there is a finished necklace. I would still be looking for my glasses.”

Bim: “I have already found the fringe. Quality control can begin.”

Granny Maimu: “Today, you are inspecting with your eyes. Paws off!”
