One day, when Maimu sat down at the kitchen table and unwound the crochet thread,
Bim was already watching her suspiciously from a distance. That yarn looked familiar. It was the very one he had been playing with yesterday!
But Maimu explained calmly, ‘This time, Bim, we’re making something useful: pot holders.’

Soon colourful, cosy crocheted pot holders were taking shape in the kitchen, yellow and purple, pink and purple,
each pair with a mood of its own. Cotton yarn, wadding and denim give them strength,
but Maimu always says, ‘Every stitch is a feeling too.’

Every pair got its own name and personality: Kannikesekell was born in quiet with the spring sunshine,
Roosipuu in the warm light of autumn, while tea simmered on the stove and the wind whistled a song at the window.
🌸 Kitchen Harmony – pot holders and a table mat

‘Kitchen Harmony’ was born from a little mishap. The fusible interfacing went on the wrong way round at first, and then I ran out of wadding.
But when I made it again, something much better emerged: a warm, peaceful and homely set of two pot holders and a table mat.
The three are like one family, prettier together than apart.

A golden shade, a warm feeling and that moment when the morning sun peeks into the kitchen: that is ‘Päikesetäpiline Pühapäev’.
These pot holders are like a cheerful greeting beside your morning coffee, bringing back memories of summer mornings in childhood.
🍦 Spiced Vanilla

‘Spiced Vanilla’ is a mixture of calm and spice: a creamy shade, a little golden accent and perfect simplicity.
They are the sort of pot holders that make even the most ordinary morning feel a little special.
‘I told you that thread looked suspicious!’ – Bim
‘Well, I only unravelled a tiny bit… but look how lovely it turned out!’ – Maimu
