Lumepits ja Veripunane viiul – Snow Lace and Crimson Violin: Lace Elegance for Your Home

Tablecloths are not simply fabric. They are memories, care and time wrapped around a crochet hook. Every stitch, every pattern tells a story that can only truly be felt and appreciated when hands have made it, eyes have watched it grow and a heart has put a little love into it.

I have two special tablecloths to choose from, both beautiful and full of warmth and homely calm. One is classic snow white, like fresh snow after a peaceful winter night. This is ‘Lumepits’. The other is deep and powerful, like a violin playing among wild berries. It is called ‘Veripunane viiul’.

These tablecloths are made from cotton crochet thread and measure about 58–60 cm in diameter, just the right size to add a touch of elegance to a table without overdoing it. The pattern is precise and dense, while the lace is airy and graceful.

See how ‘Lumepits’ and ‘Veripunane viiul’ come to life, step by step, through the beauty of crochet made by hand.

Tablecloths are not only practical objects. They are gifts that carry history and personality forward. Every time you place one on a table, you add warmth and depth to the room.

Bim and Maimu – faithful companions in my handicraft stories

And as always, my faithful companions are beside me:  Bim, my wise and dignified cat who keeps an eye on every stitch, and Maimu, my little crocheted granny who brings joy and calm between the stitches. They make every project happier and more human.
