Crocheted from fine cotton thread and measuring about <em>125 \u00d7 56 cm<\/em>, it manages to be both elegant and playful at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pattern is a good old classic: the <strong>pineapple pattern<\/strong>. Some say it symbolises abundance and good fortune. I say it symbolises patience too, because once you make a mistake in the pattern, everything has to be unravelled and started again. Naturally, if something is soft and beautiful, one has to lie on it. Maimu, meanwhile, whispered in my ear:\u00a0<em>\u2018Tiina, don\u2019t forget, every stitch has a tiny grain of good fortune hidden inside it.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And so it was finished, a runner that came to be called <strong>\u00d5nnevoog<\/strong>. It is not simply a tablecloth, but a little keeper of good fortune.
