The old WordPress brought more or less everything with it, but \u201cmore or less\u201d is apparently an official quality standard in the WordPress world. Some images vanished, some things needed fixing, and a few less important posts simply stayed behind in the old blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why did I start messing with all of this in the first place?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because I wanted my own place on the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not merely a corner on a free platform where something might change or disappear one day, but a blog that was truly mine, my own domain and my own little world. The idea had been in my head for a long time. At one point I even got as far as trying to build my own system and editor, but eventually realised that I wanted to spend more time writing and creating, not live inside code forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that is how I eventually arrived at Zone + WordPress. Really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The backend file contained the entire frontend table, and then I spent several days wondering why saving did not work \ud83d\ude04<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The worst part is that when I opened <code>save.php<\/code>in the browser, it displayed the table. At the time, not so much \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in the end I did get the blog up and running, and the product-management table started saving again too \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Waiting in the new home now are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>handicraft stories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>crochet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maimu and Bim<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>YouTube videos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and probably another technical nervous breakdown or two in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if anyone still thinks moving a blog is \u201cdone in a couple of clicks\u201d, well&#8230; it is not \ud83d\ude04<\/p>\n\n<\/trp-tag>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p data-no-translation>At first I rather naively thought moving a blog meant roughly: Reality was, naturally, something else entirely.
