Everything begins with small steps, petal by petal, centre by centre, leaf by leaf. You crochet, add wire to hold the shape and attach every petal in the right place. Then comes the stem: strong wire, green floral tape and finally fixing the flowers into the pot. I used plaster mix in the bottom and covered it with real orchid bark. There is plenty of fiddling involved, but the result is worth it. \ud83d\udc9a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not simply an artificial flower. It is ahandmade flower<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The red young lady was namedFiery Triinu<\/strong>\u2013 lively, full of life and always the centre of attention.
The delicate pink flower was christenedBlushing \u00d5ie<\/strong>\u2013 quiet, soft and mysterious, like a shy spring smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every bud is a promise of a new flower, every stitch hides a little spring inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every flower needs roots and every stitch needs support. Handicraft and life travel the same road.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

My tip and experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These flowers are not cardboard or plaster \u201cartificial flowers\u201d. Crocheting around the wire is a little tricky, but once you get going it starts to flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To fill the pot I sometimes use ordinary plaster mix, sometimes even foam if I need something lighter. And the \u201csoil\u201d can be crocheted too, your own soil imitation. Real black earth gets dusty and makes a mess, so I use genuine orchid bark, but crocheted soil is even better, because there is no danger of it spilling everywhere if the pot tips over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the whole point of handicraft: trying, inventing, discovering. No flower is exactly the same as the previous one. And that is precisely what makes them feel alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bim and Maimu in the flower garden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While I was fiddling with these little flowers,Bim<\/strong>was immediately on the scene. He sat beside them looking as if he himself had named the red young lady. His expression clearly said, \u201cFiery Triinu suits me, doesn\u2019t she?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maimu<\/strong>on the other hand smiled to herself: \u201cDaughter, do not forget Blushing \u00d5ie. She is my favourite. Gentle and smiling, like joy in an old woman\u2019s heart.\u201d And there they sat beside me, Bim and Maimu, while every flower found its own story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maimu laughed: \u201cLook at them, like sisters. One fiery Triinu, the other blushing \u00d5ie.\u201d Bim, naturally, sat beside them wondering which one would be better to play with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
